Paul Brosnahan*

Paul Brosnahan, AIA, CCS, CSI, is Vice President – Specifications, ARCOM, in Alexandria, Virginia. In this capacity, Paul overseas two comprehensive master guide construction specification systems for ARCOM, the American Institute of Architect’s MasterSpec® program and ARCOM’s SpecText program. He is an architectural graduate from the School of Architecture, Auckland University, New Zealand, and is a licensed architect in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Paul joined the AIA MasterSpec® program in 1992 and has 40 years international architectural experience as a project manager, construction administrator, and architectural specifier. He is a member of the American Concrete Institute, and for 15 years, sat on the American Institute of Steel Construction’s Committee on the Code of Standard Practice for Steel Buildings and Bridges. Paul has presented seminars on MasterSpec at national conventions of the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI). He was a project committee member responsible for developing the first National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS) Guideline 3 Exterior Enclosure Technical Requirements For the Commissioning Process in 2006.
