Green Advantage is seeking nominees for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) who can oversee updating and maintaining an ANSI/ASTM-accredited Pre-construction Risk Assessment/Infection Control Risk Assessment (PCRA/ICRA) Certificate Program. SMEs have familiarity with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed by construction personnel in order to properly conduct and implement a pre-construction risk assessment for healthcare facility construction projects. SMEs come from a variety of backgrounds and might be academicians, policy makers, health care administrators, health care facility managers, and/or construction specialty experts. Summary Statement

This position is important to the quality of certificate standards that form the basis for Green Advantage  Pre-construction Risk Assessment/Infection Control for Healthcare Facilities certificate program for construction personnel.  Subject Matter Expert (SME) participation helps ensure the relevance, integrity, impartiality, and fairness of the Certificate Program.

Duties:

Establish guidelines and learning objectives of the Certificate Program. Activity will occur by email with potential for teleconference follow-up as needed. The total commitment requires approximately 5-10 hours/year.

Term:
SME participation is for a three year period. Successive three year terms are permitted.

Remuneration:

Service as an SME is on a volunteer basis.

Qualifications:

SMEs are familiar with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed by construction personnel in order to properly conduct and implement a pre-construction risk assessment for healthcare facility construction projects. SMEs come from a variety of backgrounds and might be academicians, policy makers, health care administrators, health care facility managers, and/or construction specialty experts.

Conflict of Interest:

It is important that SMEs have no conflicts of interest that compromise their service to Green Advantage in the Certificate Program. For example:

Individuals who could reasonably anticipate that the action contemplated by them as an SME might financially benefit any goal or objective sought by a the Certificate Program other than a disinterested concern for the benefit of the integrity, impartiality, and fairness of the standards, certification requisites, and exam specifications. Therefore, individuals who represent a manufacturer or distributer of a product or technology either decline to serve as an SME, or if an SME, disclose the nature of the conflict and recuse themselves from advice related to the Certificate Program that is associated with the conflict.

Each SME signs an agreement with Green Advantage pledging the integrity, impartiality, and fairness of his or her SME activity.
