Mona Sahlin

Ms. Sahlin is a Swedish politician and the former leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party. Ms. Sahlin served as a Member of Parliament for many years. She has also held various ministerial posts in the Swedish government including:

·        Minister for Sustainable Development, Energy, and Housing

·        Minister for Democracy, Integration, Human Rights, Sports, Metropolitan, Affairs and Gender Equality

·        Minister for Employment, Integration, Metropolitan Affairs, IT and Telecommunications

·        Minister, Ministry of Labour.

Ms. Sahlin was elected the leader of the Social Democratic Party in 2007 and became the first female leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party. In 2014 she was named National Coordinator against Violent Extremism by Sweden’s Minister of EU Affairs.
