Augie has been with the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) since 2004. He joined the Association as its Director of Associate Member Programs in which he oversaw the programs servicing NAHB contractor and professional services provider members. In June 2007 he was made Executive Director of the Business Management Department. In this role, Mr. Cruz oversees a wide range of programs and leads the creation of resources to help builders manage their business operations. He also oversees the Home Technology Alliance (HTA), a joint venture program supported by founding sponsor, Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA).
Mr. Cruz has worked in association management for more than 15 years in a variety of roles including corporate sponsorship development and outreach, meeting and conference logistics, and board relations. His clients have included professional societies as well as trade organizations. Mr. Cruz holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and a Master of Public Administration, both from George Mason University.
