Robert Clarke

Robert S. Clarke is founder and principal of Robert Clarke Associates. His firm focuses on sustainable product and project consulting, with emphasis on super-insulating window, storefront, skylight and curtainwall glazing. Robert has over three decades of extensive consulting and management experience focused on sustainable-technology products and projects. He possesses particular expertise in architectural glass encompassing window, storefront, curtainwall and skylight glazing.

Robert has worked in executive capacities with Southwall Insulating Glass, Serious Metals, Ensar/Solar Pathways, World Power Technologies, Southwest Windpower, Vac-Tec Systems, Aeroturbine, and American Wind Energy Association. He founded ALPEN in 1981 and oversaw the manufacture of the World’s Highest Performance Architectural Glass.   

Robert’s large portfolio of projects includes the Empire State Building and the National Gallery of Art. Over his career, he has provided SUPER insulating glass (with performance up to R-22) to more than 40,000 commercial, institutional and residential projects worldwide.

He holds a Bachelor of Science & Engineering degree from Princeton University and a Master of Business Administration degree with marketing and finance emphasis from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
