As a construction superintendent with 15 years of experience, Jeff enjoys the fact that his work can take on a different scope, plan or challenge every day. He started his career with Pepper Construction in Chicago where he has completed almost 30 projects worth $150 million in interior and mission critical construction. In addition to being recognized for his creativity, strong work ethic and ability to supervise teams to accomplish work within budget and schedule constraints, Jeff is an early adaptor of new construction technology. He has mastered Bluebeam studio, Touchplan, PlanGrid, PlansandSpecs, 360 Photo and Microsoft’s HoloLens, just to name a few. Jeff often shares his expertise with colleagues and formally serves as an instructor for Pepper’s continuing education efforts, including Green Advantage training.
Jeff has experience in disaster recovery and has created more than 20 crisis / emergency plans, some of which have incorporated hurricane preparedness into the construction process. He also helped Pepper and his clients successfully navigate work during the COVID-19 epidemic while managing a jobsite that typically had more than 110 workers within a confined space. Despite the many challenges, there were no lost-time or recordable injuries and no work shutdowns due to positive COVID-19 cases. Much of this success can be attributed to Jeff’s careful planning and application of safety protocols to the project’s unique circumstances.
His relevant experience also extends beyond the jobsite. As a 15-year volunteer for the Boy Scouts, Jeff oversees his troop’s emergency preparedness training with a specific focus on hazardous weather. In addition, he serves as a counselor to Scouts seeking merit badges, including overseeing the required paperwork, and he also reviews and approves all volunteers who want to work with the local organization.
Overall, Jeff is committed to the safety and quality of every project he touches. He remains motivated by the desire to create a better environment and a better world for his children.
