Keith Cronan earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at Wake Forest University with a minor in Organic Chemistry. He has been an Estimator and Project Manager at Southern Environmental Services, Inc. in Richmond, VA since 2014. Prior to that he owned an environmental remediation company for 22 years before selling to the minority stockholder. Keith has 36 years experience in managing asbestos, lead paint, mercury, PCB, and mold remediation projects in the construction industry. Projects have included healthcare settings, universities, schools, commercial properties, and industrial sites.
Keith holds multiple licenses in Virginia for asbestos abatement and lead paint remediation. He was appointed by two consecutive Governors in the Commonwealth of Virginia to serve on the Asbestos, Lead, and Home Inspectors Board at the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulations from 2006 to 2014. He was elected by the Board members to serve as Chairman each year from 2009 through the end of his allowable terms in 2014. The responsibilities of the Board include promulgating or revising regulations, overseeing the issuance of licenses of workers, and taking disciplinary actions against regulants for noncompliance with Virginia remediation regulations.
Keith successfully completed the Occupational Health and Safety Administration 30-hour course in Construction Safety and Health, and was a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association from 2013 to 2014.
