Ruth is Director of Exam Administration, overseeing the day-to-day delivery and processing of Green Advantage Exams. She grew up on a family farm in the Midwest where hard work, homegrown food, and experiencing the cycles of nature close at hand shaped her world view. After graduate school, she lived for three years in a mud house in central Africa, working with Peace Corps and USAID. She marveled that the thick mud walls and thatched roof kept her cool and dry in the tropical heat and torrential rainstorms, and that the whole house was biodegradable. On returning to the States, she sought work that contributed to the greater good—working with at-risk youth, starting an international non-profit, working at a community psychosocial rehabilitation center, raising world-aware children, and working for Green Advantage since 2004.
